This is a Huragok drawing. They were used as indicators of important routes in Halo 3: ODST.
Now, since Huragok are miracle-workers with technology, it’s not far fetched to imagine Director Church using one in his AI meddling. Plus, the sounds emanating from the container sounded suspiciously like one. In pain.
… I have feelings about this because Huragok are such babbies ;~;
